ACT is a national organization designed for college students with a
professional interest in the field of journalism and communications related
to agriculture.  ACT members meet students with similar career interests,
sponsor and participate in social and educational activities and network
with industry professionals who are helpful in the pursuit of a career in
agricultural communications.

ACT Objectives:

  • Stimulate interest and promote careers in agricultural communications.
  • Provide leadership experience to members and keep them abreast of the
    developments in agricultural communications.
  • Help members make professional contacts and begin to work with future
    associates and employers.
  • Improve courses and programs related to agricultural communications by
stimulation interaction among students, faculty, and professionals.
  • Provide an organizational structure that is as broad as the career
interests and goals of agricultural communications students, so that ACT can
serve all students and relate to all professional groups within the career
    field.
