Thomas E. Kraft, Ed.D kraft-2009-pic.jpg

Dr. Thomas E. Kraft is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication. He coordinates and advises students for the Industrial Technology Education and Leadership programs. Courses he teaches include woodworking, lab management and  instruction, electric vehicle design, construction, and testing.

Dr. Kraft received his Doctorate in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001. Prior to being assigned to AgLEC, he was a lecturer in the College of Education and Human Sciences. From 1994-2000, he taught Industrial Arts at Hana High and Elementary School at Hana Hawaii. He is retired from the United States Air Force.

Dr. Kraft's research interests include:

  • Technology and society                                     
  • The Wright Brothers
  • Appropriate technology      
  • Electric vehicles
