Joyce Povlacs Lunde
JOYCE POVLACS LUNDE is a Professor Emerita in the department. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are in English from Kent State University (BA, 1959) and the University of Minnesota. (MA, 1960, and Ph.D, 1970). Through post-doctoral study and field experience, she has developed expertise in faculty development. She came to Nebraska in 1978 as an instructional consultant in the university's Teaching and Learning Center, with a special assignment of working with faculty in the college of agriculture. She served as a member of this department from 1989 to 1999 and also held an appointment as an educational development specialist in the Office of Professional and Organizational Development.
As a Graduate Faculty Fellow, Dr. Lunde's areas of expertise are in teaching improvement and faculty development in postsecondary settings. Previous to retirement, she coordinated the departmental emphasis in preparing students for postsecondary teaching and taught ALEC 805 Advanced Teaching Methods and the practicum, ALEC 905 Teaching in Post-secondary Settings.
