Jerry Parsons

 

Gerald Parsons is professor emeritus in the Department. He is Irish born, Philadelphia raised and has lived in Nebraska for 30 years. He received his B.S. in English from St. Joseph's College (PA); his M.A. from Notre Dame and his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska (1975). He taught courses in Leadership and Environmental Ethics and instruction in Technical Communication and Multi-Media. During 1997-98, Dr. Parsons was on professional development leave at Harvard University as a visiting scholar studying in the areas of leadership and ethics. Dr. Parson's teaching and research interests are in the areas of communication, leadership and environmental and agricultural ethics. He is a member of the graduate college. He is married and has two daughters.
